Flow documents 100+ languages, Mac/Windows/iPhone/Android dictation, automatic cleanup and a meeting notetaker. Padhow does not match that scope today.

What Padhow adds beyond dictation
A launcher and clipboard manager
Search apps and chosen folders, preview PDFs or Markdown and retrieve copied images, files and text. These are separate from Flow’s voice transcripts and meeting history.
Choose the model for later edits
Use explicit grammar, translation or custom actions with Apple Intelligence, Ollama or a supported cloud provider. Live speech is not silently converted into a chat request.
Where Wispr Flow is ahead
Multilingual dictation, app-aware automatic formatting, learned vocabulary, cross-device sharing and meeting notes are gaps. Flow also offers organizational controls and documented compliance programs that Padhow does not claim.
Language selection, optional transcript cleanup with raw-text recovery, meeting capture and additional platforms are backlog work. Padhow’s Android exploration already exists; that is not an Android release.
We do not claim that Padhow is faster or more accurate. Flow’s free tier may be sufficient for occasional use; local processing and a one-time purchase are reasons to consider Padhow, not proof that it wins every use case.
